How can retail stop being harvested? A concrete checklist

Kinetix action guide · caps, skips, flat rules.
The goal is not “better guesses.” It is stop being harvest liquidity: less chase, less leverage, less friction tax, and flat when heat spikes.

Red flags (≥2 → default flat)

  • Narrative heat: one story everywhere, “can’t miss,” influencers piled on
  • Leverage crowding: you and your chat are almost all same-side leveraged
  • Funding extremes: crowded side bleeds
  • Clear stop clusters after a parabolic move
  • Extended breakout — you are chasing the spike
  • Anyone promising guaranteed returns / “sure systems”

How to act: anti-harvest checklist

  1. Hard leverage cap: while learning, ≤2–3× on perps (or none); pre-commit max loss per trade as a small fixed % of equity (e.g. ≤1%). Over the cap → no trade.
  2. No-chase rule: if price already ran beyond your pre-written chase distance → skip this wave; wait for a reclaim or pass.
  3. Fee awareness: before entry, estimate fees + slippage + funding; if expected edge cannot cover friction → skip.
  4. When you must flat: ≥2 red flags; no clear invalidation; revenge/FOMO mood; daily loss stop hit.
  5. Daily loss stop + trade-count cap: e.g. day loss hits X% or N impulse trades → done until tomorrow.
  6. Confirm after heat cools: late and clean beats early and hunted.

Before the session

  • Today’s leverage cap written
  • Max day loss / max trades written
  • ≥2 red flags live? (yes → flat day)
  • Invalidation in one sentence?
  • Fees/funding checked?
  • Am I chasing an extended move?
“Don’t trade now” is skill, not fear. While flat, use Insights or ask Prophet for a harvest check; practice on Spot.
