How the swap gate works

Per-leg friction is fee% × 100 + slippage bps. Total rotation friction is the sum of both legs. Dollar drag at your planned notional is notional × total bps ÷ 10,000. Effective B cost basis is buy price × (1 + buy friction) ÷ (1 − sell friction) — the all-in entry after selling A and buying B. Recovery move is the % B must rise from mid to offset combined swap drag: 1 − (1 − sell%) × (1 − buy%) in percent terms. In bps budget mode the gate passes when total friction ≤ your cap; in dollar mode the recommended clip is budget ÷ (total bps ÷ 10,000), capped by your planned notional.
